Cozad Head Coach Disappointed After Loss

COZAD – Cozad head coach Brian Cargill said that Lexington’s interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter was the play that defined the Haymaker’s 35-12 loss to the Minutemen.
Cargill said that the Haymakers were never quite able to recover after Lexington’s defensive score, as the Minutemen put two more touchdowns on the board before the half. Cargill said that the Haymakers can’t allow one play to define their games, and that they need to work on maintaining their focus while playing through adversity.
They Haymakers will face Adams Central next Thursday night in the Class C1 District 6 Championship game.
