Hot-shooting night propels Norfolk to biggest win of season

NORFOLK – Norfolk’s offense found a rhythm early, and gave visiting South Sioux City the blues.

The Panthers hit ten three-pointers and used an early 13-0 run to pull away from the Cardinals, eventually winning 79-39.

Four different players finished in double-figures for Norfolk, led by senior Tate Brudigan, who hit half of his team’s three’s en route to a career-high 17 points.

Defensively, the Panthers limited SSC’s dynamic back-court of Kaden Sailors and Kevin Candia to just nine combined points, 17 off their per game average.

The 40-point margin of victory was Norfolk’s largest since a 61-19 win over North Platte in January of 2015.
