Levy scores four times, Nebraska City wins first game since 2016

SCHUYLER – The Nebraska City football team won their first game since Oct. 14, 2016 with a 41-8 victory over Schuyler Friday night at Schuyler High School.

Senior quarterback Bryce Levy was stellar, throwing for 171 yards on 7-13 passing and a touchdown. He also rushed for 142 yards on 11 carries and scoring three more times.

The Pioneers finished the night with 372 total yards.

The defense was also strong, keeping Schuyler scoreless until a late touchdown with just over a minute left in the game.  The Pioneers also forced 3 turnovers on the night.

Nebraska City (1-0) travels to Wahoo next Friday. The Warriors beat Wayne in their season opener, 16-0. The game will air on Otoe County Country – KNCY 1600 AM, 105.5 FM and NCN21.com.

Schuyler (0-1), which snapped a 45-game losing streak last fall, travels to Lexington next week.
