Nebraska Christian Remains Undefeated with 1st Round Win Over Ponca

LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Christian kept their unbeaten season alive after beating their first round opponent Ponca in the Class C2 state tournament.

Nebraska Christian (32-0) defeated Ponca (29-6) in three sets – 25-18, 25-21, 25-15  at Lincoln Southwest High School on Thursday night.

Kaitlynn Halstead was the leader in kills for the Eagles with 17. Claire Ostrand added 14 kills.

Kelsey Fields of Ponca recorded 10 kills in the loss.

Nebraska Christian will play Superior on Friday in the semifinals.
