South Sioux overcomes zero points from Mckenna Sims; gets Coach Hornbeck win 100

NORFOLK – If you told a coach whose team was playing South Sioux City that they would hold All-Stater Mckenna Sims scoreless, they would like their chances of winning.

It’s a good thing no one told Norfolk Coach Jared Oswald that Saturday.

The Panthers did a nice job limiting Sims’ touches, but the Cardinals saw other players step up, with three players finishing in double-figures as South Sioux dominated Norfolk 62-42.

SSC was particularly strong off the bench, with 25 points coming from reserves, led by a season-high 13 from Trista Harsma.

The win was South Sioux City Head Coach Molly Hornbeck’s 100th win, a milestone she achieved in just 119 games.
