LINCOLN, Neb. – Several teams from the Columbus-area and northeast Nebraska now know their path to a state volleyball championship.
The NSAA released the brackets over the weekend, for the tournament that is set to begin on Thursday morning and continue into the evening on Saturday.
North Bend Central is seeded fourth and will play #5 Malcolm at 3:30 at Lincoln North Star High School. If the Lady Tigers win, they could take on #1 seed Wahoo on Friday.
Northeast Nebraska dominates Class C, with #1 Hartington Cedar Catholic playing #8 Southern Valley at 3:30. The winner of that match will play the victor of #4 Stanton, the defending state champions,and #5 Archbishop Bergan.
#2 Nebraska Christian will play #7 Ponca in the 7:30 slot.
All C2 matches will be played at Lincoln Southwest.
In Class D1, Clarkson-Leigh is seeded #6 and will take on #3 BDS at 1:30 at Lincoln East. #8 Elkhorn Valley will play #1 Meridian in the evening.
#4 Humphrey St. Francis will face #5 Red Cloud at 3:30 in Class D2 at Lincoln Northeast.
