Ammonia Leak Injures One At Cargill Plant

SCHUYLER – One person is injured after an accident at the Cargill Plant in eastern Nebraska.

One person was taken to a hospital for an incident involving an ammonia leak at the Cargill Plant in Schuyler on Monday.

During this time, the plant was evacuated for a short while.

In a statement from Cargill, the leak was caused by a valve failure during routine maintenance, resulting in the ammonia release. The employee was hospitalized for observation, and then released.
