Bressler-Fest Brings Band Stonehouse To Park

WAYNE – Bressler-Fest continues Sunday, September 17th with band Stonehouse.

The event is the second of four Sunday music performances in Bressler Park in Wayne. Sand Creek Post & Beam is sponsoring Stonehouse on the 17th. Last Sunday, Front Porch Pickers and Paradox kicked-off Bressler-Fest, but repeat concert goers will be getting a different sound from Stonehouse, according to event organizer, Jill Brodersen.

“This Sunday is Stonehouse, they are a four-piece band with drums, keyboard, base and guitar, so they’ll be a little bit different,” Brodersen said.

Stonehouse is a blues/rock band with members from Wayne and Norfolk. According to, they perform music “ranging from traditional rockin’ blues to the sounds of ZZ Top, Stevie Wonder, Santana, and CCR, coupled with a blend of original music.”

Should there be inclement weather, there is a back-up plan so the show can go on.

“That’s why I chose Sunday night,” Brodersen said. “I didn’t think there was anything else going on that it would conflict with, the 2 o’clock Sunday movie, so that gets out usually around 4, and I figured, well, this doesn’t conflict with that and Melanie (Loggins from the Majestic Theater) said we can use the Majestic stage if we have a rain-out.”

Each Bressler-Fest performance is free and open to the public. Locals are encouraged to bring their friends and family and make a night of spending time with each other, enjoying the park and listen to the bands. A food truck is also at the park for performances. Bressler-Fest runs from 6-8 Sunday nights.
