Click it or Ticket Effort Wraps up in Fremont

FREMONT – The Fremont Police Department applied for and received a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for overtime traffic enforcement in conjunction with the nationwide “Click it or Ticket” mobilization.

Agencies from across the State of Nebraska participated. The grant period was from May 22 – June 4, 2017. Our Department provided 9 Officers and worked a total of 104 overtime hours during the grant period. All traffic enforcement statistics will be reported back to the State of Nebraska.

Those statistics are as follows:

– 93 Citations for Speeding

– 2 Reckless Driving Citations

– 2 Arrests for DWI

– 7 Driving Under Suspension Citations

– 17 Citations for No Proof of Insurance

– 4 Felony Arrests

– 9 Fugitives Apprehended

– 1 Minor in Possession of Alcohol Citations

– 3 Open Container of Alcohol Citations

– 13 Safety Belt Citations

– 1 Child Passenger Safety Restraint Citation

– 152 total Citations issued

– 388 Total vehicles contacted
