COLUMBUS – A Columbus organization is helping local business owners and HR professionals with ways to grow their workforce.
The Columbus Area Human Resource Association put together a free HR conference at Central Community College on Thursday, which was attended by various HR professionals from the Columbus area. CAHRA President Amanda Henry says that the group’s members had the opportunity to choose the topics of discussion, and that the event turned out even better than they had hoped.
Topics of discussion at the conference included employment law, recruitment and retention practices, and how to provide proper benefits for employees. Featured speakers included Sara McCue of Baird Holm LLP, Andie Gordman of SilverStone Group, and Vera Schneider of UNICO for the three topics, respectively.
Henry says that those interested in learning more about CAHRA or attending one of their monthly meetings can find more information on the organization’s website, or by contacting Henry directly.
