Columbus Man Charged with Felony – Accused of Stealing Laptop, Textbooks, Personal Check and More

COLUMBUS, Neb. – A Columbus man faces a felony theft charge after the alleged victim told police he stole a variety of items in September.

20-year-old William Fuentes is accused by prosecutors of stealing a Macbook laptop, computer accessories, three nursing textbooks, a personal check and a backpack, around September 18th of this year.

Fuentes will make his first court appearance on November 1st on the charge, which if convicted, could send him to jail.

Police say the total amount stolen is between $1,500 and $5,000, which qualifies as a class IV felony.
