WAYNE – City Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.

From the City Hall, Wayne City Councilmembers will see the appointment of Michelle Harder as the Finance Director and hear a presentation by the Wayne Area Association of Retired School Personnel.

A couple of years ago, this group presented the City of Wayne with a facsimile check in the amount of $36, 756.50. The total represented the amount of money that their volunteer hours were worth to the Wayne Community Area (1,630 Hrs. at $22/hr.), according to the National Bureau of Vital Statistics in 2013-2014. Another facsimile check will be presented to the Mayor and Council for their volunteer hours.

Councilmembers will accept and award a bid for a contract to purchase a LED Message Center Sign for the Community Activity Center. Recreation Service Director, Bryce Meyer has obtained four proposals and will be reviewing them to make a recommendation during the City Council meeting.

Udder Delights will hold a public hearing for an application of a Class C Liquor License.

Councilmembers will also hear an upcoming Eagle Scout Project. Nolan Kruse will provide information during the meeting on his project and will formally request using city bricks and gravel for the project. Kruse is planning on building two park benches north of the main entrance at the Library as a memorial for Donna Liska.
