PENDER – Connecting Young Nebraskans provided people from all across the state with a networking opportunity to collaborate on ways to make positive changes in their communities.
CYN held their third-ever summit on Wednesday afternoon at the Pender Community Center. The event included multiple rounds of open space discussion, where attendees were invited to bring their own ideas and questions on a number of different topics.
Topics included in the discussions were how to build affordable housing without subsidies, diversity and inclusion conversations in communities, and how to recruit people back to communities. All of the topics discussed were chosen by attendees, with the goal to create a meaningful dialogue to brainstorm solutions for community issues.
In all, CYN is hoping to equip the state’s future leaders with the necessary tools that will impact their communities.
