NORFOLK – A longtime northeast Nebraska car dealership is changing owners, and a familiar face for locals is taking over.
Cornhusker Auto of Norfolk Co-owners Al and Julie Rajaee have announced that they have purchased another Norfolk dealership, Courtesy Ford, which has been owned by Darrel and Linda Novacek.
Owners of both dealerships say they’ve been friends and competitors for over 30 years, so it has been a natural transition.
“I think they will do a great job,” Darrel Novacek told News Channel Nebraska. “Being local people, they are certainly community-minded. This is going to be a positive thing for everybody.”
“We have plans in place to grow the business,” Al Rajaee added. “We may potentially build a new facility for the Ford store, and allow that brand to grow to where it needs to be in northeast Nebraska.”
Rajaee says he will be retaining all of Courtesy’s current employees and is planning on creating an additional 15 full-time jobs in the near future.
Bancroft-native Marlo Hermelbracht has been named the new general manager at Courtesy Ford of Norfolk.
