COLUMBUS – The long running summer concert series Lawn Chairs on the Square is back, and local dancers kicked off the series on Thursday.
Barb’s School of Dance, Desiree’s Dancers, Lynette’s Dance Studio, and iDance Project all performed on Thursday night. The series is put on by the Columbus Downtown Business Association, and Barb Siedlik says she is excited about this year’s lineup and the turnout from the opening night’s festivities.
“It’s just absolutely wonderful, I mean I’ve seen people here tonight that we haven’t seen for a couple, three years that came back, because they were vacationing or somewhere else. I’ve seen one person that I graduated with that lives out of state, that is home on vacation and they’re here with their mom and dad,” says Siedlik.
The Columbus Jazz Orchestra will perform next week, followed by Freedom Road, The Deal, Rocks in a Pocket, and much more in the weeks to follow.
“Just come on down and enjoy, we have a lot of shade trees. Remember to bring your lawn chairs and your blanket of course,” says Siedlik
