Drug Violation is Discovered During Traffic Stop

FREMONT – The Fremont Police Department discovered a drug violation during a traffic stop over the weekend.

According to Lt. Bottorff with the Fremont Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at the 700 block of N. H Street at 1:54 a.m. on Saturday. Due to a driver’s license violation, the vehicle was in the process of being towed. During an inventory of the vehicle drugs were located, and as a result a passenger of the vehicle was arrested. 26-year-old Terry A. Benne of Omaha was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday at 10:35 p.m. officers responded to a trespassing complaint at a residence in the 1200 block of N. Pierce Street. Investigation determined the complaint to be valid, and during the investigation the suspect was uncooperative. As a result, 44-year-old Jason L. Imus of Fremont was arrested and jailed for Stalking, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Trespass First Degree.

And on Monday at 7:19 p.m. officers were called to 1100 block of N. Clarkson Street in reference to a physical altercation. Contact was made with an individual who was intoxicated and uncooperative. As a result of the contact, 35-year-old Joseph S. Ridgebear of Fremont was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
