NORFOLK – Electronic recycling is back in Norfolk and is giving a chance to residents of the area to get rid of unwanted computers, TV’s and home appliances.
Hosted by American Recycling of Lincoln, Christ Lutheran School hopes to reduce some of the pollution caused by old electronics and use it for better things.
This year’s collection lasted 2 days from October 27th and 28th.
During the last electronic recycling event 2 years ago, the collection lasted over two weeks and Stortz said the school collected nearly 30,000 pounds of scrap electronics.
This year didn’t turn out those kind of numbers, but Stortz says with only two days this year, they collected more than expected.
