Fremont Police Department Makes Two Arrests Over Weekend

FREMONT – The Fremont Police Department investigated a theft and made two arrests over the weekend.

According to Lt. Bottorff with the department, at 5:30 a.m. on Friday officers received a call regarding a theft from a vehicle, located in the 500 block of W. 16th Street. An investigation show that a window was broken out and a door pried on to gain entry. Items taken included cash and personal items. There was an estimated cost of $500 due to damage and loss.

Also on Friday, officers received a call from the 2200 block of N. Nye Avenue at 3:12 p.m. The call was in reference to a disturbance. During the investigation it was determined that one of the individuals involved had been given a prior trespass warning for the property. The individual was found hiding and was subsequently arrested and jailed. 56-year-old Kelly S. Leedom of Fremont was arrested for Criminal Trespass, Second Degree.

On Sunday, at 3:44 p.m. the department received two separate calls from the 100 block of W. 6th Street in regards to a male individual attempting to start fights and yelling at motorists.  After the second contact with the individual, he was placed under arrest. 38-year-old Gerald T. Nevermissesashot of Fremont was arrested for Disturbing the Peace and Disorderly Conduct.
