Gavins Point Dam and Precautions on Flooding

YANKTON – The Army Corps of Engineers increased water releases to 150,000 cubic feet per second due to floods back in 2011 at Gavins Point Dam.

For the next upcoming months, water releases from Gavins Point Dam and other Missouri River reservoirs will stay at exceptional levels to remove any runoff that remains above normal.
