Herchenbach Leaving, Howard Tapped for BoV President in Humphrey

HUMPHREY – The Bank of the Valley in Humphrey will be under new leadership as Deb Herchenbach bids farewell.

Tim Howard was tapped to be the new Community President of the bank’s branch in Humphrey, as Herchenbach is set to retire on June 30th, says a Marketing Director Dee Hanson.

“Deb was the President of Farmers State Bank prior to Bank of the Valley’s purchase of the organization in June of 2016, and has been a valued member of the Bank of the Valley family as the Humphrey Community President. We wish nothing but the best for Deb, and thank her for her 29 years of service to the Humphrey Community,” says Hanson.

Howard is a native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and has been in the banking industry for 18 years. Howard has lived in northeast Nebraska since moving to attend Northeast Community College.

“Tim is excited and grateful about the opportunity to work with Bank of the Valley in Humphrey. He is looking forward to working with the current staff to ensure a smooth transition, and will work very hard to serve Bank of the Valley’s customers, as well as the community of Humphrey,” says Hanson.

Tim is married to his wife Melissa, and they have seven children racing from 3 to 21 years old.

Tim is a member of the Knights of Columbus, serves as Deacon of St. Francis Church, is a board member for Spirit Catholic Radio, and is a board member for the Northeast Nebraska Right to Life.
