Join Grossenburg Implement For Chamber Coffee Friday

WAYNE – As another Friday approaches, the weekly Chamber Coffee is scheduled to be hosted at Grossenburg Implement on January 12.

Starting at 10 a.m., come out to enjoy coffee and morning treats while visiting with others who attend. After the office lists what’s going on over the next week, Grossenburg will take over as the host.

Grossenburg Implement in Wayne is located on 1819 Chiefs Way.

Mark L. Koch, Store Manager and Sales Manager for the Wayne Location, has been at Grossenburg since 2012. He has also worked for John Deere for 35 years.

An event put on by Grossenburg, is John Deere Days and, according to Koch was hosted in Wayne during the first week of January.

“It’s really an appreciation for our customers from what we’ve done throughout the year,” said Koch. “We usually show a movie, we had some new equipment on display and some vendors here. Plus, we served an appreciation meal.”

John Deere Days was recently held in Bloomfield on January 9 and then on January 26th the event will be held in Hartington. The three South Dakota locations, Winner, Pierre and Philip will all be held the week of January 15. In February, Grossenburg Implement will start their Spring Clinics.

Outgoing Store Manager, Dave Olson will still be around part-time, and Koch added what this year’s Chamber Coffee is for.

“The Coffee is just kind of to bring the community out there,” Koch added. “So, it’s more for the community that’s been around Dave for those years (45) and the John Deere has been here that long too.”

With equipment always moving around, Grossenburg Implement has traded for more and some of it’s in the shop, some is in the country and some needs to be cleaned up out back. Koch mentioned it varies how much equipment is out front on their lot.

“The key to our business is we have to keep that used equipment turning, no difference in the parts,” Koch mentioned. “Keep the shop full and keep turning over stuff. Sell the new, sell the used and keep moving on.”

Again, join Grossenburg Implement for Friday morning Chamber Coffee at 10 a.m.
