WAYNE – The Wayne City Council will host their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m.
From the City Hall, councilmembers will act on recommendations from the LB840 Citizens Sales Tax Advisory Committee. Wayne Area Economic Development is looking to approve a $5,000 grant for its role with administering the WAED program and to approve a $210,000 as a 0%, 15-year loan for the Wayne Country Club.
The $5,000 grant is a yearly submittal by WAED to the LB840 Citizens Sales Tax Advisory Committee. Last year, the Council denied this recommendation with the reasoning of they thought this request should be taken out of the 1.85% that is collected from the electric utility revenues instead of the LB840 fund.
With a bid and awarding of a contract scheduled for the “Wayne Country Club Clubhouse Addition and Remodel” project also to be heard Tuesday night, the Wayne Country Club has revised their initial request. Previously, the Council approved a $150,000, 0%, 15-year loan and now are asking for a $60,000 increase.
The Wayne Community Activity Center will also be amending their schedule of fees for building permit and CAC fees along with equipment rental.
