Local Crime Briefs For Tuesday, June 6

FREMONT – Two Fremont men are facing domestic assault charges after separate incidents on Monday evening.

Fremont Police were called to the 900 block of W. Military Avenue at 9:05 p.m. Monday in reference to a physical altercation with injuries present on the victim. As a result, 41-year old David Martinez-Islas of Fremont was cited and arrested for third-degree domestic assault and disorderly conduct.

Meanwhile, Fremont Police were called later that hour to the 700 block of N. Pebble Street in reference to a disturbance where an assault had taken place. After investigation, 41-year old Christopher S. Hamilton of Fremont was cited and arrested for third-degree domestic assault.

Fremont Police are also investigating a theft of electronics from a Fremont residence that occurred on Monday evening.

FPD took the theft complaint in the 1300 block of N. I Street at approximately 8:16 p.m. Monday and investigation determined that someone had entered the home and taken a Dell 2014 laptop and a Kindle Fire. The laptop is valued at $200 while the Kindle is valued at $50.
