Masquerade raises money for local Norfolk Hospital

NORFOLK – Six hundred masked patrons filled the DeVent Center in Norfolk Saturday Evening for the Faith Regional Health Services Foundation Gala. The foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year had a masquerade theme to go along with a night full of action.

Faith Regional Health Services Foundation Executive Director Jake Claussen told us the night included silent and live auction items, a great meal, and ‘The Heartland Boogie Band’ for the sold out event. He says it is the first year the gala has been sold out.

The funds raised through the eventful night will go toward Orthopedic Services in Faith Regional’s new South Medical Office Building.

The group said they hope to raise enough money to fund two new X-Ray machines to provide more convenience for patients, and better images for the physicians.

The night also served as a celebration for all the services Faith Regional offers, and to share stories of patients who were able to receive quality care and resources you usually find in a big city, without having to leave Norfolk.
