MADISON – Midtown Health Center provided the Madison community with a look at a unique dental health facility on Monday afternoon.
The center held an open house for its mobile dental unit, which is designed to provide small communities with the opportunity for dental health care. In addition to the open house, a ribbon cutting was held, and 25 certificates for a free dental exam and x-ray were given out to new patients.
Despite the unit’s compact nature, it still has the capabilities to provide the same services as a normal dentist’s office. Midtown Health Center CEO Kathy Nordby says that the feedback has been very positive, and word of the unit’s high quality of care has been spreading quickly.
Nordby also says that it took nearly a year to get the unit off the ground, but that it is very exciting to be able to provide smaller communities with the opportunity of dental health care. Those interested in scheduling an exam can call (402) 371-8000.
