‘Most Diverse Selection Of Shows Yet’ At Fred G. Dale Planetarium This Fall

WAYNE – The Fred G. Dale Planetarium kicks off their fall 2017 season on Friday, September 8th, with shows almost every Friday and Saturday from September through December.

Friday’s show is “Earth, Moon, and Sun” beginning at 7 p.m. Wayne State’s Family Day will be celebrated at the planetarium with five shows on Saturday: “Earth, Moon, and Sun” at 11 a.m., “Stargazer” at noon, “STARS” at 1 p.m., “Astronaut” at 2 p.m. and “From Earth to the Universe” at 3 p.m. Kids weekend is September 22 and 23 and will feature “One World, One Sky” at 7 p.m. and “Animals of the Sky” at 2 p.m. respectively.

According to a press release from Wayne State College, this season has the most diverse line up of shows yet. Planetarium fans who see 18 out of the possible 24 unique shows can win an “astronomical” prize. This season includes several “secret shows” as well as WSC homecoming shows, Music in the Planetarium and holiday shows and a Kids Weekend every month.

Suggested donations for all shows are $5 for adults and $3 for children and all donations are appreciated.
