NELIGH, NE — A South Dakota man could face new charges after police say he was aggressive towards officers serving an arrest warrant.
Antelope County Attorney Joe Abler says Neligh Police and the Nebraska State Patrol arrested 42-year-old Thomas Hildring for an active arrest warrant issued from Minnehaha County in South Dakota. The officers confronted Hildring at the Casey’s General Store in Neligh.
Abler says Hildring was aggressive towards officers when they attempted to handcuff him. A Neligh police officer deployed his taser to subdue Hildring.
Neligh EMT’s were dispatched to assess Hildring for injuries. He is being housed at the Antelope County Law Enforcement Center on the South Dakota warrant. He could face charges for resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
