NGage Receives Grant From Bank, for Retail Market Study

BEATRICE – A Nebraska bank has awarded a Beatrice economic development group a grant to help finance a retail market study.

First National Bank of Omaha presented the check this week for $2,500, to Gage Area Growth Enterprise, known as NGage.

The grant comes from the bank’s Strong Local Economies focus.   Senior Development Coordinator for NGage, Glennis McClure says the funding will help with a market study, to be undertaken between NGage, Main Street Beatrice and the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce.

The study is expected to provide data that is useful in recruiting new businesses or start-up companies, and help existing businesses with marketing and promotion.

First National Bank of Omaha is awarding grant funds of $834,000 to nearly 50 organizations across a five-state area.  That includes grant awards to 26 Nebraska organizations.
