NORFOLK – A Northeast Nebraska high school is being recognized for it’s push to include arts and music in the classroom.
Norfolk High School is the recipient of the 2018 NebraskARTS Award and was presented to the school on Tuesday.
The award was presented by Nebraskans for the Arts, and says It’s a recognition of school districts that make a notable contribution to the arts and arts education.
A presentation of students art work and performances from the high school band, orchestra, choir and Pink Panther Dance Team were highlights of the afternoon.
Guest speakers at the event included State Senator Jim Sheer and State Board of Education Rachel Wise.
