Northeast Nebraska Placed in Winter Weather Advisory

OMAHA/VALLEY — The winter weather just won’t leave northeast Nebraska alone.

The National Weather service placed a 13-county swath of the northeast part of the state in a Winter Weather Advisory from 10:00 AM Tuesday morning through 7:00 PM Tuesday evening.  NWS models predict 1-4 inches of snow across the region with northern Knox, Cedar and Dixon counties predicted to receive the greatest amounts of snowfall.

Wind is helping to fuel the advisory as gusts are expected to reach as high as 44 mph in Norfolk and Columbus.  The NWS says visibility on roads could diminish to less than 1/2 mile at times during the afternoon.
