NORFOLK- You may see some extra traffic and people in Norfolk… that’s because One-act play production championships continue through Friday.
There are 36 schools throughout Nebraska competing in six classes at Norfolk Senior High’s Johnny Carson Theatre.
Director for the Norfolk Area Sports Council, Rachael Reiser says this year has already seen a record crowd. The students have a half hour to perform and they can’t go over that time or they are penalized. “From what I have seen and from the audience I’ve talked to, cannot believe the level of talent and the amount of work that they must put in to get these plays together and done so fabulously,” says Reiser.
The students have a half hour to perform and if they go past that time they are penalized. There is an award ceremony after each play.
Norfolk High will be performing at 4:30 Friday evening at the Johnny Carson Theatre.
