Owlet Monitors Donated To Norfolk Catholic Daycare

NORFOLK – A Norfolk mother provides the Norfolk Catholic Daycare center with a generous donation for her son’s first birthday.

Briggs West tragically passed away due to SIDS earlier this year, and his mother Melissa started the Briggs & Barrett Project with another mother who lost her child to the same syndrome. West donated six Owlet monitors to the Daycare on Wednesday, designed to monitor an infant’s heart rate while sleeping.

West still wanted Briggs’ birthday to be a happy occasion despite the tragic nature of his passing. In addition to the monitors donated to Norfolk Catholic, West also donated Owlets to mothers at Columbus Community Hospital, as well as surprising expecting moms with the gift of Owlet monitors.

West also said that they will be holding a birthday party for Briggs this Saturday, where more moms will be receiving presents from the Briggs & Barrett Project.
