Pac “N” Save Celebrates 30 Years Of Service To Community Of Wayne

WAYNE – Pac “N” Save, Inc is a Midwest based grocery chain which started in the mid 1980’s.

The community of Wayne was invited to Pac “N” Save Friday morning to help celebrate 30 years of grocery service in Wayne. The Wayne store opened in 1987, as the first store was opened in Seward in 1985.

Store Manager of the Wayne location, Adam Endicott said he was in second grade when he first came to Wayne.

“When they first opened you had to sack your own grocery’s and it was just a straight discount grocery store,” said Endicott. “Now we’ve evolved into a full-service store.”

Endicott added the bakery opened in 1998.

“Over the years it has evolved,” Endicott added. “As the consumer wanted more services we’ve also provided more services.”

Pac “N” Save is made up of about 50 employees, where 12 are full-time.

One of the goals for Pac “N” Save is to be a strong community partner by giving back to the community through donations, product donation or monetary donations.

“You name it, I think that we’ve contributed in some form to nearly every project,” Endicott mentioned. “That’s because the community is very good to us we want to be good to them.”
