NORFOLK – An event in Norfolk is giving residents an opportunity for some low-cost wellness check-ups.
The two-day event at the Cox Activities Center features dozens of different screenings at discounted prices.
Mary Humphrey with the Northeast Nebraska Area Agency on Aging is one of the event’s co-organizers. She says the PATCH Health Fair is an opportunity for anyone to get an update on their health, with over $500 worth of lab work being offered for $40.
“You may not have a problem, which is good – you want to stay healthy,” Humphrey said. “But sometimes you have existing problems and you can get some pre-screenings and lab work to see what can be done to improve your health.
The health fair has some new additions this year, including the kids’ teddy bear clinic on Saturday, where kids can bring their stuffed animals with them to get various health check-ups.
