COLUMBUS – Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, Senator Ben Sasse, and Congressman Jeff Fortenberry made a stop in Columbus as part of the “Get Out Your Vote” rally tour.
The group spoke with Columbus community members at the Columbus Municipal Airport on Friday, with the key point of the discussion being the importance of getting out to the polling stations and casting your vote on Tuesday. Governor Ricketts also discussed Nebraska’s continued economic development, and how cities like Columbus are a big part of the state’s growth over the last number of years.
The group made three other stops throughout the state as a part of the Friday tour, appearing in Omaha, Norfolk, and Kearney. The group will continue to tour on Monday throughout the western part of the state, with stops scheduled in Scottsbluff, Alliance, North Platte, Hastings, and one final appearance in Lincoln.
