Road Flooding Over Quickly in Northeast Nebraska

MADISON – Heavy rains are quickly making roads impassable in northeast Nebraska.

Madison County officials say that many roads are covered in standing water…including Highway 275 east of Tilden.

Many other county roads…including 839th Road…539th Avenue and 835 Road all have flood water over them

Madison County officials say they are quickly running out of markers to close down roads and are urging residents to stay off the roads.

Meanwhile…emergency officials in Pierce County have put out a call to rescue officials there to begin sandbagging along the North Fork of the Elkhorn River. The river between Pierce and Hadar was measured just before 10 a-m at two feet below flood level and quickly rising.
