Robinson Remains Norfolk School Board President

NORFOLK — The Norfolk School Board held its first meeting of 2018 on Monday night and tended to procedural items.  One of which was deciding the Board leadership and a familiar face will be in charge.

Arnie Robinson was unanimously voted to serve a second year as Board President while Sandy Wolfe was chosen as vice president.  Per custom, Associate Superintendent Bill Robinson will be treasurer and Superintendent Dr. Jami Jo Thompson will be secretary.  All board members chose remain in their same committees.

The Board also approved the 2018-19 calendar with the only major change coming to snow days, which are now attached to spring break, rather than the end of the school year, which the Board hopes will make them more valuable in terms of instruction.

The Board’s second meeting of the month will be at noon on Thursday, January 25th with its next regular Board meeting happening on February 12th.
