SNB’s Rewinkel Awarded Quarterly Congeniality Award At Chamber Coffee

WAYNE – The Wayne Ambassadors have named their Quarterly Congeniality Award winner at Friday morning’s Chamber Coffee.

Ashley Rewinkel, of State Nebraska Bank took home the award. Rewinkel’s willingness to make relationships was cited as one of the main reasons she’s been given the award. Originally from Wakefield, Rewinkel has lots of personal relationships with residents and customers that help provide that hometown feel in the bank. Her willingness to step in and help organize benefits for families in need also helped earn her the prize.

Rewinkel was surprised with the announcement during Chamber Coffee.

“I was kind of caught off guard,” Rewinkel said.

It was, however, no surprise to her mother or co-works, whose attendance at Chamber Coffee piqued her suspicions.

“Come to find out, most of them knew this morning,” Rewinkel said.

Once the surprise wore off, Rewinkel felt the honor of being named the Quarterly Congeniality Award.

“It’s a huge honor,” Rewinkel said. “We always strive to please our customers and to carry on a smile every day. I can’t say it’s 100 percent easy, but for the most part, it’s nice to connect with your customers.”

The award was first given in 1986 and has continued to be given every quarter. To nominate someone for the Congeniality Award, write a brief outline of why your nominee deserves the title and drop it off at the Wayne Area Economic Development office or fax it to (402) 375-2246.
