The SCC Board, meeting at the Beatrice Campus Tuesday, approved semester credit-hour cost at $108, and will charge a $3 facilities fee per credit hour.

College President Dr. Paul Illich says it’s a 3.6% increase in tuition and fees, is projected to bring in an additional $775,000 for college operations.

Room and board rates will increase significantly at Beatrice and Milford Campuses the coming year, with a switch to a full meal plan.  The SCC board also approved Missouri-based Great Western as the food service provider for the college.

The guaranteed maximum price for a new Falls City Learning Center was established, at just over $3.19 million.  College Attorney Rex Schultze says that’s a ceiling on the price of the project.
