NORFOLK, NE — Two people have been arrested a year after their alleged involvement in a stabbing.
Norfolk Police Captain Michael Bauer says 22-year old Theron J. Thornton and 25-year old Rosina Tilden have been arrested over the last two weeks for charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony related to an incident in November of 2016.
Bauer says in August of 2017, the results from the forensic lab were delivered to investigating detectives. That evidence tied Thornton to the victims and the assault, and Tilden as the driver.
Last year in November, Norfolk Police responded to a stabbing report at the Leisure Lodge. When they arrived they identified three assault victims, two of which had been cut. The victims told police that the suspects had stolen their property as well.
Witnesses in the area were able to give police a vehicle description. Officers located the car which had blood on one of the car door handles. Additionally a knife was also found in the car.
Forensic evidence from the victims, the scene, the vehicle and the suspects were submitted the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab for analysis and comparison
Thorton was arrested on August 24 and Tilden was arrested on September 6. Both were initially brought to the Norfolk City Jail before being transferred to the Madison County Jail.
