Wayne State College Community Learning Cohort Coming To Grand Island, Joining Three Other Locations

WAYNE – Representatives at Wayne State College are excited to announce the opening of a new Community Learning cohort in Grand Island along with the continuation of programming at three current sites according to a release from the college.

Other locations include in Norfolk, Fremont and South Sioux City. The College’s Community of Learning is a unique two-year instructional framework through which teachers can earn a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

This opportunity allows classroom teachers to drive their own master’s-level professional development. The program’s format keeps track on the needs of professional educators by forming a networked community to achieve personalized professional outcomes.

Cohorts ran in the area of Grand Island from 2007 – 2009 and 2009 – 2011. The Community of Learning program has been a signature instructional framework for Wayne State College since 2003.
