Wayne State Counseling Center Receives Prestigious Accreditation

WAYNE – Wayne State College’s Counseling Center was named one of two accredited centers in the state through the International Association of Counseling Services, Inc. (IACS).

The Counseling Center at WSC provides personal, nutrition and career counseling to students as well as testing, psychological assessment and group support of some campus organizations. The accreditation through IACS, which the college has held since 1999, means the center has met the organization’s high standards.

Approval through the IACS is dependent on a high level of service as well as continuing professional development. IACS is committed to furthering the visibility of counseling services on university and college campuses.
