NORFOLK, NE- It’s warmed up quite a bit, and it looks like it will stick around just in time for the holidays.
Mild weather is in the forecast for Wednesday, Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Forecasters are saying temperatures will be warming around 50 degrees which should feel pretty good compared to the winter chill we’ve been dealing with lately.
According to Gas Buddy, even though gas prices have been dropping lately, Thanksgiving gas prices will be the highest since 2014.
Triple AAA estimates that 54.3 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home over Thanksgiving — the highest volume for the holiday since 2005 and just over 89 percent of those travelers, or 48.5 million, are expected to travel by car.
The high on Sunday is only going to be around 30 degrees, so if you are coming home that day you should prepare for some rain or snow for your travels!
