Blue Devils Girls Golf Shoots Season-Low Nine Hole Outing On Season

BATTLE CREEK – 13 golfers and two teams made up the Battle Creek Triangular Tuesday late afternoon.

From the Evergreen Hill Golf Course in Battle Creek, Wayne High and Elkhorn Valley were in town for a nine-hole girls golf outing.

Battle Creek shot the low score of the three teams with a 217 followed by Wayne High in second with a 224 for their top four golfers while Elkhorn Valley had two golfers combine for a 142.

Individually Battle Creek took the top two spots from Kenzie Jensen with a 48 and Tessa Kruger with a 51. Wayne High followed with the next three rankings from Hana Nelson with a 52, Megan Keiser shot a 53 and Taylor French shot a 54.

The other two Blue Devil golfers were Natalie Bentjen shooting a 65 (ninth) and Liz Junk followed with a 69 (10th).

The Wayne High girls golf team will next be in action at the Pierce Invite from the Pierce Community Golf Course on Saturday, September 9. Tee time begins at 9 a.m.
