Norfolk Catholic QB Nate Brungardt: “We Have the Best Offensive Line in the State”

DAVID CITY – Norfolk Catholic sophomore quarterback Nate Brungardt was the Butler County Health Care Center player of the game after Norfolk Catholic’s 21-17 win over Aquinas Catholic in the Class C1 quarterfinals.

Brungardt engineered two touchdown-scoring drives in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning 10-yard touchdown pass to Chace Clausen on a 3rd and goal play with 1:25 to go.

“It starts with the line,” Brungardt said after the game. “I think we have the best offensive line in the state. With them, you know you can trust them.”

Brungardt was 6-of-9 passing for 71 yards and two touchdowns. For the season, he now has 739 yards passing and 12 touchdowns to just two interceptions.
