Winside Volleyball Secures Road Sweep, Thanks To Two Double-Doubles

PLAINVIEW – The Winside Wildcat volleyball team had a week-off from live competition and took part in their sixth straight road game.

Winside visited Plainview on Saturday and swept the Pirates (25-18, 25-22, 25-13) to now sit 2-4 on the season. Plainview falls back to 1-5.

Andi Bargstadt recorded a team-high in both kills with 11 and 17 digs for a double-double to go along Alyssa Brogren’s double-double in 10 kills and 11 digs. Brooklyn Behmer and Sarah Wolfe each totaled 14 set assists as Hope Cummins added six solo blocks followed by five from Bargstadt.

Winside is next in action for their second road triangular of the season. The Wildcats will face Homer and the host team, Osmond on Tuesday, September 12.
