Man Convicted of Child Pornography Facing Prison and Deportation

Omaha, Nebraska. – A Mexican man arrested for child pornography in Omaha has been sentenced to five years in federal prison.

U.S Attorney Robert Sturt says 41-year-old Jose Manuel Garcia Vargas admitted to soliciting and receiving child pornography via Skype.

Garcia Vargas will be deported after completing his prison term and if he returns to the U.S. he will be required to register as a sex offender and serve 10 years of supervised released.
