Discarded Smoke Detector Blamed for South Omaha House Fire

BELLEVUE, Neb. – A discarded smoke detector is blamed for an early morning house fire in Bellevue.

According to fire officials, some material in the detector apparently started the fire near 22nd and Gertrude.

No one was hurt, but the family can’t go home.
