South Omaha Fight Sends Man to Jail

OMAHA, Neb. – A South Omaha fight has sent one man to jail.

According to police, 27-year-old Melvin Morales-Perez suffered minor cuts to his face and hand after a fight with 44-year-old Oakes Blackbonnet inside a house near 35th and U Street.

Moralez-Perez was treated at the scene by medics, while Blackbonnet was booked into the Douglas County Jail charged with felony assault and use of a weapon.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the fight.
