SEWARD - Seward Police have located the driver of a red SUV involved in a hit-and-run Tuesday.

The department located both the driver and vehicle Wednesday afternoon. The driver's identity has not been revealed at this time.

Authorities say an 11-year-old child was struck and run over by the vehicle at North 1st Street and Hillcrest Drive in Seward. The incident occurred just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The child was riding his bicycle, traveling east on the sidewalk when the vehicle turned north onto 1st Street. The child was crossing the street when the vehicle was turning. The vehicle struck the child, and ran him over. The driver exited the vehicle, but did not leave any information.

The vehicle is described as a maroon or red SUV. The driver is believed to be a white female, brown hair, possibly in her 50's.

The victim's identity, and current condition, were not made available Wednesday. This case remains under investigation.
